Silverstone Classic 2016

It was great to get out in the Cobra for the first time with it painted.
Had a lovely day catching up with friends and enjoying some great racing and entertainment.
Shame the evening ended with us having to get it home on the back of a rescue truck :-(

Oh Feckity feck feck! Just a word of warning before tightening up your eyebolts, double check the length and clearance so you don't crack nice new paintwork like I just did :-(

All wired up again!

Re-wiring the dash was just a royal pain! What I will do next time I disconect everything is take pictures as my notes and diagrams are not exactly in any good order!
With the exhausts re-assembled, the battery charged, the fuel pump run for a few seconds, she started first time. It was nice to hear that rumble again :-)

Going back together piece by piece...

Putting the windscreen back on after paint really lifts the car..

Definitely a slower process being very careful!

Dashboard reassembly

Last night I was reassembling the dials and switches back into my newly finished dash. A local upholsterer (AJ's Trimming) finished it in leather and I'm very happy with the work.
